5.4 How to Setup shared FTP directories in Virtualmin

The focus of this article is to show you how to enable shared FTP folders for one or more users in Virtualmin.

It assumes you have first logged into Virtualmin

1. Select the domain that you’d like to add the FTP account to from the drop-down menu on the top-left.
2. In the left panel Locate and click on the Limits and Validation menu.
3. In the drop-down select FTP Directory Restrictions.
4. Create a new access rule by checking the Active checkbox in the last rule in the list (which is a “blank” rule).
5. Choose Virtual server's home directory in the restricts to Directory.
6. Once you filled the inputs click Save.

Once this is complete any specified user should have read access to ALL directories within this specific virtual server, and write (upload) access to their respective home directory.
